Unkurta visited a Qualpa (long-tailed rat), an Arawa (wallaby), and an Atnunga (rabbit bandicoot), telling each of them the same thing. Finally he returned to his own camp, and sent out his off- spring in various directions that they might give rise to Unkurta people in different parts of the country. All of them finally went into the ground, leaving their spirit parts ^ See later. ^ The name applied by the Arunta to a man old and learned in tribal customs.
