Body excerpt retained for review: The following letter appeared in the 'The Australian Town and Country Journal' of 9 December 1882, and was written by a naturalist, H.J McCooey, who I am told was quite well known in Australia in the late 1800's. McCooey's experience took place on the New South Wales south coast.
